Abstract

International scientific conference “Medieval history of Dasht-i Qipchaq” took place on September 13–14, 2017 in Astana. It was dedicated to the history of the Qipchaqs and the peoples of the Kypchak group of Turkic peoples. 12 reports were devoted to the history of the Qipchaqs. The conference was organized by the research center Dasht-i Qipchaq and the Eurasian National University n.a. L. N. Gumilyov. Representatives of 10 countries took part in the conference. Most of all, there were representatives from Russia (9 participants) and Kazakhstan (4 participants). Ukraine was represented by three participants (V. Otroshchenko, E. Seidaliev and J. Pilipchuk). Georgia was represented by two participants (Z. Kvitsiani and E. Mamedov), the rest of the countries were represented by one participant (Italy, Poland, Lithuania, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan, Syria, Azerbaijan). The most interesting reports, in particular, were those that were voiced by A. Garkavets, V. Volkov, A. Kadyrbaev, A. Kushkumbayev, J. Sabitov, V. Otroshchenko, E. Seidaliev. It was decided to start publishing scientific works by the research center “Dasht-i Qipchaq”.
