Abstract

In the world history in the 15th–19th centuries tremendous upheavals on all aspects took place. The two Eurasian continents had strong clashes leading to implications for each regional country as well as to consequences in the next centuries. In this view, marine and islands management organization and defense under different forms of some East Asian countries through sea-routes left worthy consideration. Experience and historical lessons show that the activity of the above to achieve efficiency must be performed synchronizedly and strategically, and be associated political purposes with economic aims, foreign and domestic affairs. In a new world of complexity and diversity, both cooperation and competition, military activities of marine and islands defense must be combined and coordinated with many different ways. An analysis of old historical lessons for programming a new historical act probably is still useful for the protection of seas and islands sovereignty in East Asia at present.
