Abstract
The objective of the article is to study the functioning of Westernismes (barbarisms and solecism of European languages) in different styles of contemporary Vietnamese. The main types of Westernismes: lexemes, phrasemes, syntactic structure, punctuation have been pointed out. The purpose, advantages and disadvantages of westernization, as well as variations of functioning of Westernismes in Vietnamese language’s system have been shown.
